LIFEBEAT SUMMER CAMPS

Engaging the creative power of young people

LIFEbeat summer camps offer a unique opportunity for young people to explore and expand their creativity. Participants are drawn together from different backgrounds and cultures, bringing a broad range of experiences and perspectives on life.

LIFEbeat camps are pioneered by Charlie Murphy who is an educator, facilitator and award-winning singer/songwriter. He is known for his groundbreaking work incorporating creativity into youth development and adult training. He co-founded Power of Hope, an innovative youth development organisation in Washington State and British Columbia in 1996. In 2005

Charlie was elected to the Ashoka Fellowship, a global association of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs. He has recently launched Partnership for Youth Empowerment (PyeGlobal) to spread principles and practices for transformative youth work internationally.

The camps are led by a group of vibrant performers and artists who are supported by adult facilitators from a wealth of backgrounds. Each share their expertise and enthusiasm with the community and contribute to making the camp a safe, rewarding and inspiring experience for everyone.
