INCIPIENT MINDS

Out of the darkest corner emerges the brightest mind

Established in 2008, Incipient Minds is a registered not-for-profit organisation. Vanessa Oduro founded Incipient Minds on her belief that exposing young people to cultures outside of their daily experiences enables them to engage and participate positively in community building. She states that this enhances their potential for the future both as citizens, and as reliable and effective employees.

Incipient Minds most often employed methodology is to place promising young people in work experience environments to which perhaps they would otherwise not have access. This approach has already proven to be very successful with a number of bright young minds already gaining experience in real world work environments, building their confidence and giving them a glimpse of what the future can hold for them.

Incipient Minds has previously placed a number of young people within The Trademark Group – the primary business concern of Terry McMillan. The young people in question benefitted from the opportunity to enhance office related skills and one on one mentoring from Trademark staff. The intention is that they go on to active work placements in their chosen careers.
